Own a genuine piece of the cosmos! This is a beautiful 6.4 gram individual fragment of the Sericho pallasite — one of the most visually stunning and popular stony-iron meteorites available to collectors. Key details: • Meteorite: Sericho (Main Group Pallasite) • Location: Habaswein / Sericho, Kenya • Found: 2016 • Classification: Pallasite (low weathering) • Specimen type: Individual fragment (as-found) • Weight: 6.4 grams • TKW: ~2.8 tons • Serial: S15 of 75 • Provenance: CANAGEM (Ottawa) with original labeled bag and certificate-style card. In 2016, two brothers searching for their camels stumbled upon massive dense stones in the Kenyan desert west of Habaswein. Locals had known of these “strange rocks” for decades — one village elder even recalled playing on them as a child. Meteorite hunters later recovered over 2.8 tons across a 45+ km strewn field. Sericho quickly became a collector favorite because of its high density of gemmy, rounded olivine (peridot-like) crystals set in an iron-nickel matrix. Pallasites are extremely rare — representing less than 0.1% of all classified meteorites. They formed at the core-mantle boundary of a differentiated asteroid ~4.5 billion years ago. This specimen shows the classic Sericho character with low terrestrial weathering. This is not a cut slice — it’s a natural individual fragment, perfect for collectors who prefer “as-found” pieces with original shape and character. Comes sealed in the original CANAGEM bag with full labeling for clear provenance. Why this one stands out: • Exact 6.4 g weight with serial number (S15 of 75) • Low weathering grade • Authentic dealer provenance (CANAGEM) • Ideal display size — big enough to show features, small enough to be affordable • Ready for any collection or gift Perfect for: Meteorite collectors, space enthusiasts, educators, or anyone who wants a real extraterrestrial souvenir that formed before Earth even existed. Ships carefully packaged with the original label. Happy to answer questions or provide additional photos. Don’t miss Serial S15 of 75 — once it’s gone, it’s gone.
